All Southern Cameroons
Restoration Movements sign in for Ambazonia

The
hitherto self-proclaimed President of Ambazonia Republic since 1983, Fon Fongum
Gorji Dinka of Widikum, has exhorted all Ambazonian Senators and MPs in La
Republique du Cameroon’s houses to force President Biya to obey the law by
withdrawing and becoming members of the “nucleus of Ambazonian Parliament”. In
the same vein all active Southern Cameroons restoration movements (SCNC, SCAPO,
etc.) have finally recognised him as Head of State for Ambazonia.
The
call to the senators/MPs is contained in a release titled Law Enforcement Action MPs/Senators Roll Call. It draws afflatus
and harps on three cogent legal documents that clearly spells out why such an
action is just and imperative for consolidation of the statehood of Ambazonia.
The
first is a quotation from a United Nations Tribunal on Civil and Political
Rights judgement in the case of the Ambazonian leader Fon Gorji Dinka-v-Cameroun (ICCPR/1134/2002).it states: “As a result of the subjugation of Ambazonians
by members of the Franco-Cameroun armed forces as well as militia groups, riots
broke out in 1983 prompting the Cameroun Parliament to enact Restoration Law
84/01 which dissolved the union of the two countries” So Ambazonia and Cameroun became as independent of each other as they
were before the creation of the illegal union on October 1, 1961.
The
next is on the High Court judgement in the High Court of Bamenda in 1992
(HCB/28/92), which the UN Tribunal declared as “a peaceful end to Cameroun
occupation of Ambazonia”. The release
further comments that by this law all allegiance from Cameroun was
transferred to Ambazonia; Ambazonian lawmakers in the Cameroun Parliament were
transformed into the nucleus of the Ambazonia Parliament and this same law
ordered the withdrawal or expulsion of all elements of Cameroun authority from
Ambazonia.
Thirdly
Fon Dinka quoted the commitment signed by President Biya on January 31, 2005 in
Yaoundé, with the UN Secretary general Koffi Anan, “I President Paul Biya of the Republic of Cameroun, in a bid to bring a
lasting solution to the Bakassi Conflict, do commit myself and my government to
respect the boundaries of my country as
obtained at independence”. This statement was made in pursuance of
the ICJ which demanded the withdrawal of Cameroun from Ambazonia.
All Southern
Cameroons Restoration groups renamed
According
to a Press Release from the Ambazonian Ministry of Information’s Bureau of
Information, signed by the Director, all activists in all liberation groups of
Southern Cameroons are now called Ambazonian law Enforcement Activists. This
move, the press release explains, “In ignorance of the fact that the United Nations
recognises us as Ambazonians seeking the implementation of law and judgements
which order the withdrawal or expulsion of Cameroun from our fatherland
Ambazonia, our patriots have been identifying themselves as Cameroonians
seeking the secession of Southern Cameroons from Cameroun; thus enabling the
Franco-Cameroon annexationists to stigmatise them Secessionist Terrorists”.
It is upon this realisation that the
SCNC, SCAPO and all other groups decided to meet the Ambazonian President and
the pact was signed. According to Government Notice 4/2013 (Patriots Activism
Adaptation Ordinance) in the Republic of Ambazonia Gazette of July 6, 2013, a
delegation led by Chairman of the SCNC HRH Chief Ayamba Ette Otun’ followed by
those of a delegation led by one of the grassroots SCNC leaders, Stephen
Kongso, “who put his home-based colleagues in conference phone discussions with
me,” concretised this pact of allegiance.
